Objective

The CRA hosted the Annual Gainesville Kids Triathlon at Citizens Field from 2009 to 2014. The Gainesville Kids Triathlon consisted of three events – swimming, biking and running – and provided hundreds of children from age 5 to 15 the opportunity to compete and have fun with friends.

Children competed in Junior and Senior Divisions: Junior Division A ages 5-8, Junior Division B ages 9-10, Senior Division A ages 11-12, and Senior Division B ages 13-15. In addition to the competitive youth divisions a Tri4fun division was open to racers from ages five to adult to participate just for fun.

All participants received a finisher’s medal, post-race snacks and a chance to win door prizes. For the 5th Annual Triathlon, an optional start on the water slide for the swimming segment added to the fun!
